Android Developer – Jyväskylä

Job Description

We are looking for Android Developers to join our team in Jyväskylä. These experts will reinforce a team responsible for developing mission-critical communication services.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in increment pre-planning, kick-off, and review meetings.
• Attend sprint objective settings and acknowledge achievable targets.
• Join daily scrums and other project meetings to discuss project status and resolve issues.
• Provide accurate work estimates for assigned tasks.
• Design and document software to ensure maintainability and scalability.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Develop unit tests to validate all features and ensure software reliability.
• Ensure all deliverables meet project requirements and Definition of Done (DoD).
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate new features seamlessly.
• Utilize Agile and SAFe methodologies to ensure smooth project execution.
• Use Jira and Confluence for task management and documentation.
• Optimize Android applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

• Android application development
• Android OS
• Reactive programming (RX)
• Kotlin
• Java
• Understanding of software development processes (requirements, specification, implementation, testing, version control, maintenance)
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Job Details

• Location: Jyväskylä (Hybrid – Onsite 3 days/week)
• Duration: 12 months or more
• Allocation: 100%
• Starting Date: 24.3.2025
• Language Requirement: English
• Minimum Experience: 3 years
• Security Clearance: May be required under Turvallisuusselvityslaki 2014/726
