Job Description

We are seeking a Compute Subject Matter Expert (SME) with expertise in Active Directory design and migration to support our client. This role focuses on Active Directory implementation and management for the NRA 2.0 solution, ensuring security, availability, and compliance in an Operational Technology (OT) environment.

As a Compute SME, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing Active Directory environments, including Group Policy management, Windows Server administration, and VMware integration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize Active Directory solutions while maintaining industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Active Directory Design & Migration:

  • Install, configure, and administer Active Directory environments.
  • Analyze existing AD structures and plan migration strategies.
  • Manage domains, forests, trusts, and Organizational Units (OUs).
  • Troubleshoot Active Directory replication issues.

Policy & Security Management:

  • Implement and manage AD Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Integrate AD with VMware and Windows Server environments.
  • Monitor and maintain AD security, compliance, and availability.

Compute & Virtualization Management:

  • Configure and manage VMware vSphere (7.0 & 8.0), ESXi, vCenter.
  • Implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup solutions.
  • Support migrations involving UCS servers, virtual machines, and hyperconverged clusters.

Technical Expertise & Support:

  • Provide technical guidance on Active Directory best practices.
  • Assist in troubleshooting Windows Server, VMware, and AD-related issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure a stable and secure AD environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong expertise in:
    • Active Directory (AD) & Hybrid AD environments
    • Azure AD & cloud integration
    • DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Group Policy
    • VMware vSphere 7.0 & 8.0
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 & 2019
  • Experience in:
    • Managing Active Directory environments and certificate management
    • Configuring and troubleshooting VMware-based technologies
    • Implementing networking and security policies in an OT environment
  • Good-to-Have Skills:
    • Knowledge of hyperconverged solutions (Nutanix, VMware vSAN, Cisco Hyperflex)
    • Experience with HA, DR, and backup solutions
    • Familiarity with common infrastructure services (DNS, NTP, Syslog, RDP)
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • Microsoft: MCSE, MCSA, Azure Administrator Associate
    • VMware: VCP
    • Cisco: CCNP Data Centre
