Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Functional Safety Software Developer to support our customer’s safety-critical development projects. The role involves analyzing functional safety requirements, adapting safety techniques, and implementing and verifying embedded software using formal safety development processes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze safety requirements and contribute to the development of safety concepts.
  • Implement embedded software in C++ following functional safety processes.
  • Perform unit testing, static code analysis, and verification in line with Misra C++ (2023).
  • Collaborate with system architects, hardware, and test engineers.
  • Maintain documentation and traceability in accordance with safety standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in embedded software development using C++
  • Experience in unit testing and static code analysis
  • Familiarity with Misra C++ 2023 coding standard
  • Proficient with tools such as:
    GIT, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Klocwork, C, Python, Google Test, Catch
  • A systematic and result-oriented approach to work
  • Good communication and team collaboration skills
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with functional safety software development in industrial applications
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, IEC 61800-5-2)
  • Familiarity with Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC (especially R5 core)

Additional Information

  • Location: Helsinki, Finland (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week preferred)
  • Duration: 6 – 12 months (Full-time, 100% allocation)
  • Start Date: 23 June 2025
  • Minimum Experience: 7 years
