Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Consultant with deep knowledge of Fortinet products and DevOps practices to join our global team. This position requires close collaboration with colleagues across various time zones, including US Central (UTC-6), US Eastern (UTC-5), European (UTC, UTC+1, UTC+2), and Australian time zones (UTC+8 to UTC+10). Flexibility is essential, as daily stand-up meetings are held at 9:30 AM US Eastern Time. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or collaborative events. The role is fully remote with some core hours of availability.

Key Responsibilities

Firewall & Cloud Infrastructure Review

  • Assess current cloud firewall rules and legacy configurations.
  • Identify areas for improvement and modernization.

Architecture & Design

  • Design a secure and scalable firewall management solution, similar in scope to FortiManager.
  • Present architecture and security plans to the team for review and validation.

Implementation & Configuration Migration

  • Deploy the approved system design.
  • Migrate legacy configurations with a security-first approach, carefully auditing each entry for vulnerabilities or signs of compromise.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless rollout.
  • Attend daily stand-ups at 9:30 AM US Eastern Time.
  • Participate in periodic team meetings, with potential travel as needed.

Documentation & Support

  • Document the full lifecycle of implementation, from design to post-deployment.
  • Provide ongoing support and knowledge transfer as needed.

Required Skills

  • Fortinet products: FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager
  • Ethernet-based networking expertise
  • Experience in firewall configuration and management

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Security policy creation and review
  • General networking architecture knowledge
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Exposure to ICS/OT Security environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • OT Experience: Exposure to operational technology environments is a plus.
  • Project Experience: Experience in infrastructure security projects with distributed teams.
  • Communication Skills: Strong English communication (written and spoken) and stakeholder engagement abilities.
