Job Description
Our client is initiating a project to develop a centralized software service aimed at reducing the technical administrative burden on higher education institutions and enhancing system interoperability. This initiative addresses current system challenges that impede integration and user experience.
Role Overview
As a Migration and Deployment Specialist, you will collaborate within a larger team to:
- Plan and execute migration processes from legacy IT systems to the new service.
- Provide technical support during migration phases.
- Design and implement system integrations.
- Coordinate and monitor deployments.
- Develop documentation and training materials for the transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Migration Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategies to transition from legacy systems to the new platform.
- Technical Support: Offer expertise during migration to resolve issues and ensure smooth transitions.
- Integration Design: Create and deploy integrations to enhance system interoperability.
- Deployment Coordination: Oversee and manage deployment activities to ensure timely and successful releases.
- Documentation and Training: Produce comprehensive documentation and training resources to support users and technical staff during and after migration.
Required Experience
- Project Experience: Participation in at least three IT system projects as a Migration and Deployment Specialist, totaling a minimum of 110 billable person-days across these projects.
- GCP Environment Expertise: Accumulation of at least 200 billable person-days in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, covering:
- Migration planning and execution.
- Technical support during migrations.
- Deployment coordination and monitoring.
- Integration implementation.
- Transition process documentation.
Certifications
- Valid GCP certifications, such as:
- Cloud Digital Leader
- Associate Cloud Engineer
- Professional Cloud Architect
- Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
Language Proficiency
- Strong written and spoken proficiency in Finnish or English.
- Capability to produce technical documentation in English.
