Job Description

We are seeking a Network Subject Matter Expert with expertise in VMware NSX-T to support our client in the shipping industry. This role focuses on network implementation for the NRA 2.0 solution, ensuring security, availability, and compliance in an Operational Technology (OT) environment.

As a Network SME, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize network solutions while maintaining industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design & Integration:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and document NRA 2.0 integration into APMT Terminal infrastructure.
  • Develop Layer 2 / Layer 3 integration plans for Local and Wide Area Networks.
• Implementation Planning & Execution:
  • Create implementation scripts and coordinate with internal teams/vendors.
  • Ensure smooth network deployment adhering to best practices and security standards.
• Network Configuration & Testing:
  • Configure and manage networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting in collaboration with the Test Management team and Terminal IT team.
• Go-Live & Hypercare Support:
  • Assist during Go-Live milestones and post-deployment support.
• Documentation & Training:
  • Maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in VMware NSX-T
• Firewall Configuration: Cisco ASA, Firepower, Checkpoint, Palo Alto
• Switch Configuration: Cisco Nexus 9K, Enterprise & Industrial switching platforms
• Router Configuration: Layer 2 / Layer 3 network integration
• Experience in Operational Technology (OT) environments
• Network security knowledge: ISA-95, ISA-99, Purdue model
• Preferred OT applications experience: TOS, GOS, EDI, CCTV, Access Control, SCADA, PLCs
• Certifications (preferred): CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, VMware Certified Network Virtualization
