Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Data Flow Architect / Advisor to lead the design and implementation of integration architecture for connecting various production environments to our centralized data hub. You will play a critical role in evaluating existing automation systems, selecting the right technologies, and ensuring a secure, scalable, and efficient data flow using Azure cloud services.
Initially, the focus will be on one-way data transfer from production sites to the data hub, with future expansion into more complex integration scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing automation systems in diverse production environments and identify key data sources.
- Design and implement a robust, scalable, and secure data integration architecture using Azure cloud services.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and communication protocols for data acquisition, transformation, and transfer.
- Ensure data security and integrity throughout the integration process.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
- Keep up with trends and innovations in industrial automation and cloud computing.
- Contribute to developing best practices and standards for data flow and integration.
Required Experience
- Senior level with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in relevant fields.
Mandatory Skills
- Data Architecture – Proven ability to design scalable and secure data architectures.
- Industrial Automation Systems and Protocols – Strong knowledge of automation systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA) and protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus).
- Design and Implementation of Data Integration in Azure – Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, IoT Hub, Azure Functions.
- Azure Cloud Services – In-depth knowledge of various Azure services relevant to data integration.
- Data Formats and Communication Protocols – Familiarity with formats like JSON, XML, CSV, and standard communication methods.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a global team.
Work Details
- Start Date: March 17, 2025
- End Date: April 30, 2025 (minimum 2 months, possible extension)
- Work Mode: Partly remote. Presence in the Helsinki office weekly is preferred, but fully remote work within the EU is possible.
