Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Developer to join our team and assist a client in the finance sector. The successful candidate will have expertise in Playwright for test automation and will be tasked with evaluating, improving, and automating various test cases within the client’s testing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Automation Assessment: Review the existing test automation framework and identify areas for improvement. Assess the current automated test cases to ensure they meet best practices.
  • Test Case Enhancement: Improve and enhance the existing automated tests. Ensure that they run efficiently in CI/CD pipelines and meet the highest quality standards.
  • Automation of Remaining Tests: Automate any remaining test cases and integrate them into the automated test suite.
  • Knowledge Transfer & Training: Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide training to the customer’s QA staff, ensuring they can take over and manage the testing framework effectively.
  • Collaboration with the Team: Work closely with other developers, DevOps experts, and the customer’s QA team to ensure smooth project delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Playwright: Solid experience in using Playwright for test automation.
  • CI/CD: Experience with continuous integration and deployment processes, specifically integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps.
  • Microsoft Azure: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, especially related to testing automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Test Automation Frameworks: Ability to design and maintain test automation frameworks and write reliable, scalable test scripts.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify bottlenecks and improve the automation process to optimize the workflow.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to document the framework and provide clear instructions for the customer’s QA team.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • FinTech Experience: Experience working in the finance industry, especially with financial systems or applications.
  • Performance Testing: Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.
  • Information Security Testing: Knowledge of security testing practices to ensure that the application’s security is robust.
  • Non-Functional Testing: Experience with other types of non-functional testing such as load testing, stress testing, etc.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in test automation, with a focus on Playwright or similar automation tools.
  • Location: The role requires onsite work at the customer location in Ruoholahti (Helsinki) approximately 2 days per week. The rest can be done remotely.
  • Duration: The project is expected to last between 4 – 6 months, starting on March 17, 2025.

Additional Information

  • Hourly Rate: Between 55 – 60 €/h based on experience.
  • Full-Time Allocation: 100% commitment required for the project duration.
