Job Description

Our client, a global leader in the industrial sector, is seeking Test Automation Developers to support an embedded development team. You’ll be part of an R&D team of ~10 specialists using modern work methods and tools to develop and test industrial applications. This role can be remote (from a nearshore EU/EEA location) or onsite in Helsinki.

We are especially interested in teams or candidates from the same nearshore region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in embedded testing for industrial applications.
  • Build embedded test environments and develop test automation scripts.
  • Use modern CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing and deployments.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and project stakeholders in agile settings.
  • Contribute to test planning, defect analysis, and continuous improvement.

Required Technical Skills

  • Experience in Qt Application Development
  • Working knowledge in Embedded Testing
  • Proficient in Python Programming
  • Hands-on experience with Squish Framework (Froglogic)
  • Familiarity with Git/GitLab/GitHub, Jira
  • Understanding of software test design and testing methodologies
  • Analytical mindset to identify and troubleshoot defects
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Ability to build and maintain embedded test devices
  • Protocols: CAN, LON, MQTT, SPI, RS485
  • Cybersecurity awareness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in agile/Scrum environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • Prior experience with industrial automation or IoT systems is a plus

Experience & Attributes

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in agile teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
